Province guide
Casino hotels across Ontario
Last revised · facts verified
Ontario wins on both quantity and variety. Within one province you can sleep above Niagara's falls, look across the river at Detroit, stay beside Toronto's racetrack in a brand-new complex, book an adults-only Hard Rock outside Ottawa, or head for a lakeside resort near Orillia. OLG operates the province's casinos, the AGCO regulates them, and the entry age is 19.

5 reviewed casino hotels
Fallsview Casino Resort
Ask around and Fallsview is usually the first casino hotel Canadians name. The numbers explain why: 372 rooms aimed at the falls, a gaming floor carrying 3,200-plus slots and 110 tables, two theatres (the larger seats 5,000) and 20-plus places to eat. Nowhere else in the country puts that much under one roof with a view to match.
Caesars Windsor
Windsor's Caesars tops this guide for sheer size: 758 rooms over two towers, most of them facing the Detroit skyline across the water. Inside are the 5,000-seat Colosseum (farthest seat: 225 feet) and a gaming floor with 80-plus tables and 2,000-plus slots, and the whole thing sits downtown rather than beside a highway ramp.
Great Canadian Casino Resort Toronto
Woodbine's casino came back in 2023 as a full resort and the Toronto area's newest big one: 400 rooms, a theatre holding as many as 5,000, a pool with steam room and sauna, free parking and a free Pearson shuttle. Its operator claims a bigger slot choice than any other Canadian casino.
Casino Rama Resort
Mid-renovation and better for it: Casino Rama, on Rama First Nation land by Orillia, has been redoing rooms since 2025, opened a ground-floor spa and added three restaurants, Gateway's Atlas Steak and Fish among them. Its 5,000-seat Entertainment Centre still pulls big names north on Highway 400.
Hard Rock Hotel & Casino Ottawa
The newest hotel in this guide opened on July 3, 2025 as Canada's first fully integrated Hard Rock resort. It has 150 rooms (22 suites), 1,500-plus slots in a casino that never closes, a Council Oak steakhouse and the 2,200-capacity Hard Rock LIVE — and every inch, rooms included, is 19+.
Two more Ontario openings on our list
Great Blue Heron Casino & Hotel, near Port Perry, completed its hotel in November 2021; Pickering Casino Resort, east of Toronto, added 275 rooms in January 2023. Full reviews are coming — for now, both are covered on our new openings page.
