Grown-ups only, start to finish

A $350 million expansion of the former Rideau Carleton casino site produced Hard Rock Hotel & Casino Ottawa, which opened on July 3, 2025. The company calls it Canada's first fully integrated Hard Rock resort; Hard Rock International runs it under OLG. Know this before anything else: under-19s can't set foot in any part of the property, restaurants and hotel included.

Rooms

150 rooms, 22 of which are suites. Deluxe King and Deluxe Queen both measure 389 sq ft; the Queen fits up to four people. Extra living space comes with the Silver and Gold Suites — the Gold adds a freestanding tub and a bar area. Ask about "Sound of Your Stay", Hard Rock's programme that delivers a guitar and a curated stack of vinyl to your room.

Gaming

The casino never closes — 24/7, all 365 days — and has 1,500-plus slots, tables running day and night (roulette, craps, blackjack, mini baccarat and others), a new baccarat room and a VIP high-limit area. Unity by Hard Rock is the loyalty programme, with Star, Legend and Icon tiers plus X by invitation; members save on valet and the shuttle.

Music

Hard Rock LIVE takes up 23,000 sq ft, seats up to 1,900 and holds 2,200 at full capacity. For smaller events, The Joint fits anywhere from 25 to 400. Friday and Saturday nights bring free live sets to the Council Oak Lounge stage, and the Hard Rock Cafe hosts tribute and cover acts without a cover charge.

Food

The headline restaurant is Council Oak Steaks & Seafood, styled on the Seminole Hard Rock original in Florida, with Sunday brunch 10 am–3 pm. YOUYU Noodle Bar, Brick'd Italian Kitchen and the Hard Rock Cafe handle casual meals, and Constant Grind, the Marketplace café, never closes.

Gym yes, pool unclear

Your room key opens Body Rock, a 24-hour gym fitted with Technogym machines. The published amenity pages don't mention a pool, so assume there isn't one. Valet operates around the clock: free for Icon and X members, $10 for Legend, $15 for Star and $20 for everyone else. Two EV chargers are available.

Arriving

The airport is about two miles off. To reach the O-Train, take the resort shuttle to Leitrim or Uplands station: $5 one way, or $3.50 for Unity members, paid by card or tap. The neighbouring raceway ran its last harness races in March 2026.
