British Columbia casino hotels
Last revised · facts verified
Two Lower Mainland casino hotels, and they're opposites: one a riverside resort beside the Canada Line, the other a compact hotel next to a local casino. Province-wide rules first — BCLC manages B.C.'s casinos, the Independent Gambling Control Office regulates them, entry is 19+, and since June 2023 every visitor shows government photo ID, which is checked against the restricted-entry list.

River Rock Casino Resort
River Rock wins on access: step onto the Canada Line and you're at YVR in seven minutes or downtown Vancouver in eighteen. Add 396 rooms (with some properly large suites), the country's first Gordon Ramsay Steak, a water-slide pool and a Fraser River marina, and it's an easy recommendation.
Cascades Casino Resort
Gateway's Cascades in Langley City, joined to the 77-room Coast hotel. ATLAS serves a good steak, the casino runs 24 hours and parking is free; there's no pool and no theatre.
