Fallsview Casino Resort: our review
Last revised · facts verified
Ask around and Fallsview is usually the first casino hotel Canadians name. The numbers explain why: 372 rooms aimed at the falls, a gaming floor carrying 3,200-plus slots and 110 tables, two theatres (the larger seats 5,000) and 20-plus places to eat. Nowhere else in the country puts that much under one roof with a view to match.
Go for it if: Couples and friends who want the view, a headline show and the tables in one stay, with the car parked all weekend.
Think twice if: Buffet lovers (there isn't one right now), or families whose kids want unsupervised swims — under-12s need a parent at the pool.
Why the room comes first here
Elsewhere you book a casino hotel for the casino. Here you book it for the window. Every one of the 372 rooms and suites, the resort says, was laid out to face something worth seeing — Horseshoe Falls, the American Falls, the lights of Niagara Falls city, or a combination. Then there's what sits below: 200,000 square feet of gaming with 110 tables and 3,200-plus slots, a pair of theatres and 20-plus places to eat. Arrive on Friday, leave the car in the garage, and you won't need it again until Sunday.
Picking the right view
Deluxe rooms split three ways by outlook (Horseshoe Falls, American Falls, city) and three ways by beds (a king, two queens, two doubles). Expect a desk in a small lounge corner, a safe, a coffee maker, plus an iron and hairdryer. Read the resort's FAQ closely and you'll spot the catch: a falls room might show you both falls or only one of them. If you're paying for scenery, choose the category deliberately — then ask again when you book.
The suite ladder has five rungs. Top end first: Premier Suites face the falls with a separate bedroom, full living and dining spaces and an extra-large bathroom; Ambassador Suites share that falls outlook and bedroom of their own. Diplomat Suites wrap around the tower's curve, with a whirlpool tub and a panorama of either falls or city. Executive Suites get a separate bedroom and a partial falls view, while Parlour Suites aim at the American Falls and throw in a sofa bed and a second TV.
Keys from 4 pm; out by 11 am. In-room dining takes orders in two blocks, 7–11 am and 6–11 pm.
Gaming floor notes
Bring ID: it's 19+, and the resort specifically bars strollers and babes in arms from the floor. Drinks are served out there at the Infinity Bar from 9 am right through to 1:50 am. The card to carry is Momentum — Mohegan's programme — which starts at the free Core level and climbs through Ignite, Leap and Ascend to Soar. Reach Ignite and casino parking stops costing you anything; below that you pay the day's rate, whatever the resort decides it is.
Two stages, 320-plus nights
Shows are Fallsview's trump card. The bigger room, the OLG Stage, seats 5,000 with nobody farther than 150 feet from the performer (the resort's figure), and it points to a Billboard ranking that put it first in Canada among venues of 2,501 to 5,000 seats. The Avalon Theatre is more intimate: 1,559 seats, the farthest just 100 feet back. Count on over 320 performances a year between them. December visitors can catch Christmas On Ice, which Niagara Falls Tourism lists at the Avalon from November 26 through December 20, 2026: 32 shows, season number 14.
Dinner plans
Book 21 Club Steak & Seafood for the big night, or Ponte Vecchio if you'd rather eat Italian — each carries OpenTable's "Top 50 Hotel Restaurants 2026" badge on its page. Lighter options: The Falls Deli, a Sushi & Oyster Bar, a Noodle Bar, Cantonese at Golden Lotus, and Bar Barista, which switches from espresso to cocktails as evening falls. Out in the Galleria you'll pass Shoeless Joe's, Paramount Fine Foods, Vittorio's, Lucky's and a taproom run by Niagara Brewing Company. Worth knowing: no buffet operates at the moment, and Dragonfly — the nightclub, nearly 20 years old — is closing, with a successor promised but still unnamed.
Swim, sweat, unwind
Pool hours run 7 am–10 pm, entry needs that day's key, and kids under 12 swim only with a parent. The gym keeps 7 am–9 pm. Treatments are by Damara Day Spa; on one tourism ticket site a relaxation massage there was priced at $158.
The drive, the train, the garage
Toronto is 90 minutes away and Buffalo 45, by the resort's count; from Toronto Pearson it's about 125 km. On weekends and holidays, GO trains link Union Station with Niagara Falls. Between Fallsview and Casino Niagara a free shuttle loops every half-hour, 4 pm to 12:45 am, on Fridays, Saturdays, Sundays and any show day. More than 3,000 cars fit in the garage, which has ten EV chargers (P1 has four, P5 six). Animals on site: certified service animals only.
Our call
If Canada gets one casino-hotel night from you, spend it here — and spend a little extra on the view. Choose a falls-facing room, plan around the show schedule, and join Momentum before the trip if you're driving, because parking is where costs creep up.
Quick answers before you book
Will my Fallsview room have a falls view?
Only if you book one. Outlooks are Horseshoe Falls, American Falls or city, and even among falls rooms, the resort's FAQ says some show both falls and some show one. Pick the category with care and confirm it.
Can I get a buffet at Fallsview?
No — according to its dining page, the resort doesn't run a buffet at present.
Do kids get in at Fallsview?
Yes, everywhere except the 19+ gaming floor. Under-12s must swim with a parent.
