Last revised · facts verified

Moncton's Casino New Brunswick opened in 2010, and even its entry-level rooms are a roomy 440 sq ft, with windows that open onto city or mountain views. It's the casino hotel of Atlantic Canada — 126 rooms, a pool, a concert venue, free parking and pets allowed, with Hopewell Rocks and Magnetic Hill close by.

Go for it if: A Maritime road trip with your dog, with Hopewell Rocks and Magnetic Hill nearby.
Think twice if: You rely on room service or want lots of restaurants to choose from.

Atlantic Canada's choice

Moncton got its casino, hotel and entertainment centre in a single complex in 2010. Great Canadian Entertainment runs it, and if you're travelling in Atlantic Canada, this is the casino hotel to know.

Space to spread out

Size is the selling point. A Deluxe King begins at 440 sq ft; a Deluxe Two Queen, at 490. Both have walk-in showers, 300-thread-count sheets, high ceilings, windows that actually open, and city or mountain outlooks. Among the 126 rooms and suites, the Studio Suite is 590 sq ft, the Luxury Suite 795, and the fifth-floor Marquis Suite comes with two bathrooms and a private balcony.

The guest who books and checks in must be at least 19. Kids may stay, but 19+ areas are off-limits to them. Arrive from 4 pm, leave by 11 am, and don't count on room service — it isn't offered right now.

Gaming

At the tables: roulette, craps, I Luv Suits, baccarat and blackjack. Poker happens in a private room called "the Lighthouse", Thursday through Saturday evenings. Fresh slot titles arrived in December 2025 and again in March 2026. Rewards Club is free and knocks money off at the gift shop and the buffet.

Food and shows

Two places to eat, both 19+: the Hub City Pub, out on the casino floor, and The Buffet, Wednesday to Saturday — Thursday is Ribs & Wings, Friday is AA Prime Rib, and members save a few dollars. Live music happens at the Molson Canadian Centre, part of the same complex.

Pool, gym, pets, parking

Children under 12 need supervision at the pool and in the gym. Up to two dogs or cats, maximum 50 lbs each, are welcome at $40 a night, though not in the pool, gym or restaurants. Parking costs nothing; have your plate number, make and model ready at check-in.

Nearby

Suggestions from the hotel: the Capitol Theatre, TreeGO, Tidal Bore Park, and Magnetic Hill with its zoo. Hopewell Rocks, on the Bay of Fundy, makes an easy day trip.

Our call

With big rooms, a pool and a pet-friendly policy, it's a great stop on a road trip. Just book a dinner or two in town, as on-site options are limited.
